Field of Excellence „Smart Regulation“

CLP is part of the Field of Excellence "Smart Regulation". "Smart Regulation" is one of the 5 Fields of Excellence of the University of Graz. Smart Regulation" brings together research projects that deal with research into the legal challenges of new technologies (such as the Internet, algorithms, artificial intelligence, Big Data) or with the development of new science-based forms of regulation. The CLP project is primarily concerned with the interdisciplinary foundations of human decisions that are subject to influence by legal rules (i.e., science-based forms of regulation), but at the same time also with the new challenges of digitalization for law. The area of excellence "Smart Regulation" includes the following faculties: law, social and economic sciences, natural sciences (psychology) and theology (ethics).
